How do I make the background transparent?

You can easily export a document with transparent background.

To export a document with transparent background:

  1. Click the Inspector toolbar button (Command-Shift-I) to open the Inspector.

  2. Switch to the Page tab and remove all layers of the page by clicking the close button left to the layer title:

  3. Make sure the Draw Background and Draw Background on Export options on the Page Basics panel are switched off:

    ...
    ...

  4. At this point the document background should not be visible any more:

    ...
    ...

  5. Click the Export toolbar button (Command-E) and choose Save to Disk. When Posterino asks you for a filename and format for the image to export, make sure to choose PNG or TIFF as format:

    ...
    ...

    JPG images can't have transparent backgrounds.

  6. Click the Save button to save your export.
